Wallace Olmstead

Wallace R. Olmstead, 70, of Cheyenne died June 12, 2013 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation. He was born December 12, 1942 in Wheatland to John and Mary Olmstead. He married Carol Simon-Jones on December 12, 1980 in Hot Springs, SD. His occupations included many life experiences and activities. He was an Exalted Ruler of the Elk's Lodge and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Carol Olmstead of Canton, SD; children, Laurel Peterson of Canton, SD, Blaine Jones of McCook Lake, SD and Violet Osborn of Cheyenne; sister, Georgia Murray of Cheyenne; nine grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Julia Olmstead. Those who wish may contribute to the Little Bit of Love Animal Rescue in Carpenter, WY. Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Slater Community Hall in Slater, WY Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
