In his own words: Born at Wray, Colorado to Joe and Virginia Rogers both of whose families homesteaded in the Armel area south of Wray. I was raised mostly in Laramie and then later on Fort Collins (FCHS 1951) I muddled through college at Wyoming, Arizona and Colorado A&M (BS 1956). I did my service as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. I was proud to be even a small part of that outfit. Back to school only this time as a serious student I got a degree in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State in 1967. After a year in Torrington I had my own small animal clinic in Cheyenne for many years. A gold card member of the PRCA I was always infatuated with rodeo and at one time or the other I competed in all of the timed events. Steer Roping being my favorite. I was never good enough to make it to the top but never bad enough to be counted out. Survived by my wife, Pam, a kind, sweet and smart woman, three children and a bunch of grandchildren. I was devastated by the loss of a daughter Ramona and a step daughter Maria. Both taken in their prime. There were lots of things I would have done differently but all in all I had a pretty good run. I got to live my whole life in Wyoming, Colorado and Arizona, hard to top that. I had a great family, a great brother (Joe), some neat cousins, lots of good friends, a few really good horses and some pretty funny dogs. I don't want any funeral. I never liked going to them and I think I'll skip this one. Just scatter my ashes in the Wyoming wind. adios
