Wayne Wilson

Mr. Wayne C. Wilson, Sr., 64, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Cheyenne. Mr. Wilson was born February 3, 1947, in Cheyenne, a son of Claude R. Wilson and Jane L. (Fillman) Wilson. Wayne served proudly in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1965-69. Following his honorable discharge, he worked as an electrical engineer for companies such as Woodward Governor Company and Kodak. His many interests included restoring antique cars, building model trains and cars, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors, particularly Estes Park. He also loved flowers and caring for his cats. Wayne is survived by his son, Wayne C. Wilson, Jr. of Cheyenne; his father, Claude R. Wilson and wife, Laura, of Sun City, AZ; his sister, Carol R. Blocker of Sun City, AZ; and his girlfriend, Michelle Terman of Cheyenne. He is preceded in death by his mother, Jane L. Wilson. A private interment with military honors will be held at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home.
