William Hugh "Bill" Frazier, 78, of Cheyenne, died March 10, 2016 at the Cheyenne VA Medical Center. Bill was born in Wheatland, WY on Jan. 30, 1938. He grew up in Sunrise and graduated from Guernsey High School in 1955. He married Sandra Grace Qualls February 3, 1957 in Lincoln, NE. Bill served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years, assigned first to missiles and later as aircraft loadmaster on C-141s. While in the Air Force, he visited 33 countries and flew 81 missions in Vietnam. The most significant moment of his military career was flying Operation Homecoming, a mission to pick up and bring home our POWs from Hanoi, Vietnam. After retiring from the Air Force in 1976, Bill and his family returned to Wyoming where he became an automotive instructor and later assistant training director at Wyoming Technical Institute in Laramie. He retired from WTI in 2000, after 23 years. Bill enjoyed golf, amateur radio, and playing the trumpet in the Laramie Municipal and Community bands. Bill is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sandra -Cheyenne, daughters Ronda Frazier-Lakewood, CO and Jennifer (Bartie) Bray- Wasilla, Alaska, brothers Allen(Glenna) Calmes -Evanston, WY, Micheal (Sue) Calmes-Glenrock, WY, sisters Loxi (Charlie) Calmes-Mainini -Lunenburg, MA and Esther May Dick-Torrington, WY; step-sister, Betty Bumgarner of Pueblo, CO; and grandchildren Hannah Hunter, Brett Bray and Blade Bray and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Erma Virginia (Carbis) Calmes and Clifford Elton Frasier, step father Joseph N. Calmes, stepmother Elizabeth L. Frasier and brother-in-law Merle Dick. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
