William Hansen

William F. "Bill" Hansen, 91, of Cheyenne passed away April 21, 2019 at Davis Hospice Center. He was born August 28, 1927 in Mason City, IA to William A. and Augusta Hansen. He married Mary K. Mooney on November 7, 1947 in Waverly, IA. He was a veteran of WWII, having serviced in the US Navy and was a physical education teacher and Athletic director with Laramie County School District #1. He was a member and past vice-president of Physical Education, Central District, National Interscholastic Athletic Administration Association and was a die-hard Cubs fan. He is survived by his wife, Mary K. Hansen of Cheyenne; children, Craig (Pam) Hansen of Fort Collins, CO, Julie (Leland) Jackson of Longmont, CO, Michelle (Mike) Boyd of Bonney Lake, WA and Dale (Pam) Hansen of Washburn, IL; and several grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Donald Hansen. Funeral Liturgy will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Those who wish may contribute to the Holy Trinity Catholic Church Building Fund. Services are under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
