William Earhart Hutchinson

William Earhart Hutchinson passed away on November 24, 2023 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne Wyoming. He was born in his grandfather's house on February 22, 1937, in Bohannon, Matthews County, Virginia.

In 1956 he joined the California National Guard, the 40th Armored Division, 215 Armored Field Artillery Battalion, Battery B. In January 1959 he graduated from Azusa High School. That same year he joined the regular Army, where he graduated from Crooks and Baker's School at Fort Ord, California. In 1960 he was sent Germany for 2 years.

After the Army he worked as a fireman for the Santa Fe Rail Road. At the end og 1964 he with his brother Jack went to Hawaii. In 1967 their father Jack W. Hutchinson Sr. passed away. Bill stayed on in California to join the Air Force. In 1969 he was sent to Bien Hoa Air Base Vietnam.

In 1973 he married Gloria Turko in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. He adopted her four children; Andrew, Wendy, Michael, and Michelle.

In 1985 he retired from the Air Force after serving 18 years with a total of 24 years served.

In 2012 Bill and Gloria divorced. Bill bought a home in Chugwater and moved there, where he met Barbara; whom he would marry just months before his death on Valentine's Day 2023.

Bill will be missed by all who loved him. His service will be held on Monday December 4, 2023 at 3PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Wheatland Wyoming.
