Mr. William "Bill" P. Knuppel, 73, of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at his home in Pine Bluffs. Bill was born November 11, 1937, near Grover, Colorado, a son of Otto and Millie (Fritzler) Knuppel. He also worked in partnership with his family as a custom harvester. Bill raised wheat south of Pine Bluffs until his retirement. He was a great mechanic and spent his retirement years tinkering in his shop. He enjoyed fixing anything that was mechanical and inventing devices to make his shop work better. He liked working on his classic '56 and '57 Chevy cars. He could fix almost anything and was willing to help out anyone who needed a handyman. Bill enjoyed NASCAR races, traveling, camping fishing and four-wheeling with family and friends. Bill is survived by his loving wife whom he married October 17, 1964, Nina H. (Bucher) Knuppel of Pine Bluffs; two daughters, Jodi Knuppel of Houston, TX, and Doneen Wolf and husband, Terry, of Worland, WY; two sisters, Delores "Nick" Hockersmith of Pine Bluffs, and Maureen "Reenie" Shandera of Carpenter, WY; two grandsons, Holden and Dillon Wolf, who were the apples of his eye; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
