William Holmes Turner, Jr., 58, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Mr. Turner was born to Reverend William Holmes Turner, Sr. and Mrs. Bernice Hardee Turner on July 11, 1951. William grew up in Andrews, South Carolina, and graduated from Andrews High School. He also attended the University of South Carolina. Mr. Turner was a journeyman ironworker and welder. He was a member of Andrews Pentecostal Holiness Church. He enjoyed nature, fishing, and anything outdoors, and loved to travel. William is survived by his son, William Daniel Turner and wife, Misty, of Cheyenne; his daughter, LeeAnn Aquila Turner of Tucson, Arizona; two stepdaughters Daniella Howard and husband, Mark, of Andrews, South Carolina, and Karen Pope of Georgetown, South Carolina; his sister, Sandra Leigh Turner of Garden City Beach, South Carolina; one aunt, Berma Berry, of Daytona Beach, Florida; his former wife, Kay Turner of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina; seven step-grandchildren; and several cousins. He is predeceased by his parents and one brother, Thomas Henry Turner. Expressions of sympathy in Mr. Turner’s memory may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or a charity of your own choice.
