Wilma Pearl (Dale) Crowe, 91, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away peacefully on June 25, 2019 in Cheyenne. Wilma was born October 28, 1927 in Las Animas, Colorado, a daughter of the late Samuel LaRoy and Edith Hazel (Anderson) Dale. Wilma graduated from Bent County High School in 1946. She moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado and worked at Alexander Film Company as a typist for movie ads. She married Edward H. Crowe on June 15, 1953 in Colorado Springs. They moved to Evanston, Wyoming where Ed began his career with the Wyoming Highway Department. They moved to Casper, Wyoming in 1967 and to Cheyenne in 1969. Wilma was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was a homemaker and focused her attention on taking care of her family. She enjoyed hosting family dinners and picnics on the patio. She and Ed went on many memorable trips around the country including Hawaii and Alaska. Her hobbies were sewing, crocheting and making various crafts. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church. Wilma is survived by her children, Edward A. (Christy) Crowe of Fillmore, UT, Jeanne (Scott) Sorensen of Cheyenne, and Linda (Jeff) Williams of Fort Collins, CO; grandchildren, Emily (Colt) Caddy, Shane (Kassie) Sorensen, Karli (Vince) Julian, and Kirk Williams; and great-grandchildren, Stacee and Kylee Sorensen. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother and a sister. A memory service will be celebrated on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church. An interment service will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Memorials in Wilma's honor may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 108 East 18th Street, Cheyenne, WY 82001.
