Wilma Walters

Wilma Inez (Garcia) Walters passed away on June 3, 2017 after a brief illness. Wilma was born May 18, 1959 in Rawlins, WY to George and Isabel Garcia. She graduated from Rawlins High School in 1977 and moved to Cheyenne, WY where she met Glenn. They married April 15, 1978. Wilma was always hopeful, positive and loved with all of her heart. Even in her last days, her concern was for those around her. Wilma loved her large family and amazed everyone by always remembering all of their birthdays. Two of her favorite things were butterflies and reading. Wilma will forever be remembered by her husband Glenn Walters, and their precious children, Elizabeth (JR) Lang and newborn grandson Liam Henry and Joshua Walters all of Cheyenne, WY, parents George and Isabel Garcia of Rawlins, WY, her sisters and brothers, Cathy (George) Williamson of Corrine, UT, Loudean (Joe) Callahan of Stayton, OR, Geneva (Albert) Baca of Rawlins, WY, Norma Garcia of Rawlins, WY, Ted (Alice) Garcia of Rawlins, WY, Georgeanna (Paul) Muniz of Rawlins, WY, Carolyn (Steve) Lydick of Rock Springs, WY, Joseph (Rechell) Garcia of Laramie, WY, Judy Boling-Munoz of Rawlins, WY and Bernard (Mandy) Garcia of Rawlins, WY, her sister-in-law Erlinda and her brothers-in-law Robert Walters and Lawrence (Patricia) Walters. Wilma will also be remembered by her numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and dear friends. Wilma is preceded in death by two brothers, Benny George Garcia and Andy Christopher Garcia, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Joe Archuleta and Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Ortega, two nephews, Justin Boling and Raul Carmona, her mother-in-law Sata Kikuchi Walters and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Vigil for the Deceased will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 6:00 pm and a celebration of life will be on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 10:00 am, both in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon & Jacoby Funeral Home in Cheyenne, WY. An additional service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Washington Park in Rawlins.
