Winnie Woods

Winnie Mae Woods, 79, of Cheyenne died May 1, 2013 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Winnie was born on July 31, 1933 in Ramona, OK the daughter of Albert A. and Maude M. (McCoy) Arnold. On Aug. 16, 1952, Winnie married Dean M. Woods in Tucson, AZ. Winnie worked for several years as a secretary for the Federal Government. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cheyenne and also very active in the Archer Friendly Club. Winnie is survived by her husband Dean of Cheyenne and four sons, Alan Woods of Pahrump, NV, Dale Woods of Davis, CA, Glen Woods of Cortez, CO and Eric Woods of Cheyenne and one brother Don Arnold of Gig Harbor, WA. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Elizabeth McVicker officiating. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home.
