Zachary Thompson

Zachary D. Thompson, 24, passed away at his home on August 19, 2015, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, following a brief illness. Zachary was born in Colorado Springs on November 8, 1990. He spent his early childhood in Lamar, Colorado. At the age of eight his parents moved to Mitchell, Nebraska, where he completed his schooling in 2009. After high school, he worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad until two years ago. He lived in Cheyenne with Sarah Allenby who understood and cared deeply for Zachary. Zachary was kind hearted and generous almost to a fault. He would give his friends anything he had. He could frustrate his family and friends to no end and in the same breath cause us to laugh until we would be in tears. Survivors include his grandparents, Martha Thompson of Lamar, CO, and Anthony Larkin and Diana Krausnick of Greeley, CO; parents, Leigh and Michael Miller of Cheyenne; uncles, Scott (Alice Nelson) Thompson of Lamar, CO, Ted Thompson of Des Moines, IA, and Marvin (Shaylene) Rosencrans of Longmont, CO; aunt, Elizabeth (Pat) Mason of Lamar, CO; siblings, Amberlace (Joe) Citta of Columbus, NE, and Wooddy (Annette) Miller of Fairborn, OH; niece and nephew, Easton and Joey Citta; cousins, Casey Thompson, Ethan and Jared Mason, and Luke and Logan Rosencrans; and girlfriend, Sarah Allenby of Cheyenne. Preceding Zachary in death are his grandfathers, Terrence Thompson and Marvin Rosecrans. A memory service will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home with a reception to immediately follow at the Schrader Reception Center. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Comea Shelter of Cheyenne.
