Zerlina "Dean" Porta, 77, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away December 14, 2015, at her home. Dean was born January 14, 1938, in Los Angeles, California, a daughter of the late Charles and Thelma (Rankin) Porta. Dean was employed as an accountant/bookkeeper for King Soopers bakery in Denver for 20 years. She owned and operated her own dog grooming business, and she also bred dogs and her business was called Porta Collies. She was a longtime member of the Colorado Collie Club and Cheyenne Kennel Club. She bred, raised and showed collies for 50 years. She was also responsible for the Color Guard starting the dog shows in Cheyenne. Dean is survived by a brother, Charles Porta; granddaughter, Rosie Roberts and wife, Lee; and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Parker and Hunter. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Jo Ellen Cannon. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
