Mrs. Zofia M. (Jarmulska) Orla-Bukowski, 87, Cheyenne, Wyoming, beloved friend, mother, and Babcia (grandmother), passed away early Thursday morning, May 8, 2014, at Davis Hospice Center. Mrs. Orla-Bukowski was born May 5, 1927, in Novy Targ, Poland, a daughter of the late Kamil and Natalia Rosalia (Lechner) Jarmulska. She met her husband Frank in Liverpool, England after WWII and they came to the United States in 1952 to start a new life. Zofia loved caring for her home and her family. She was an exceptional cook and baker who enjoyed sharing family meals and desserts. She also enjoyed working as a manager for Montgomery Ward, the Wyoming State Museum and the City and County Clerk's office. Zofia is survived by six children, Annamaria Orla-Bukowska and husband, Paweł, Frank K. Orla-Bukowski and wife, Julie, Pia Hansen, Izabella Jackson and husband, Dean, John Orla-Bukowski and wife, Sally, and Adam Orla-Bukowski and wife, Carmen; sister, Olenka Rymaszewska of England; eight grandchildren, Jed Moore and wife, Caitlan, Sara Schnell and husband, Klent, Dan McIntosh, Victoria Hall, Adam and Alex Orla-Bukowski, Pablo and Zofia Orla-Bukowski; and her "Sunshines" (five great-grandchildren), Mikala and Peyton Hall, Kaitlynn and Kale Schnell and Liam Moore, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins around the world. She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Frank W. Orla-Bukowski in 1979. Zofia was an active member of Ascension Lutheran Church. With Stephen Ministry, she provided much comfort and solace for those in need. A Memory Service will be conducted Saturday, May 24th at 10:00 a.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church.
